Hayden manages the overall ranch activities, and he currently has a herd of 320 head of mother cows to care for and about 1,100 acres of farm and pasture ground.

I joined the team for the University of Idaho as the operations manager at the Nancy M. Cummings Research, Extension and Education Center in December 2023. Prior to moving to Salmon, I worked as a cattle unit manager for Deseret Cattle and Citrus. I over saw 1,000 first calf heifers and 800 commercial pairs. During my time with Deseret Cattle and Citrus, the work deepened my passion for ranch management and grazing systems. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science with an emphasis on beef production from Brigham Young University-Idaho. My wife and I have three amazing children. I like to fill what free time I have learning new skills, hiking, hunting and working horses. I’m excited to be back in Idaho and working with such a great team.
