SAVE THE DATE: Tribal Summit –TBD
More Information to come.
The Tribal Summit is a biennial meeting and collaboration between the UI President and representatives from the 11 tribes who have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with U of I. At previous summits held in 2015 and 2017, the focuses were on natural resources, education, and culturally responsive ways of learning and knowing. The third summit, held in 2019, focused its efforts on identifying and understanding areas of intersections between the College of Business and Economics and various Tribal business and enterprise departments; understanding Tribal sovereignty and its role in business and economics; and course offerings and areas of emphasis that enhance tribal collaborations and opportunities.
