Responsible Conduct of Research
Some federal agencies require individuals on their grants to take Responsible Conduct of Research training. The university recommends RCR training for all students, faculty and staff.
Review the below table to determine if your grant requires RCR training, who must take training and the training requirements. Also see APM 45.21, Responsible Conduct of Research Training.

| Who is required to do the training? |
Trainees, fellows, participants and scholars on training, career development, research education or dissertation research grants. Also applies to NIH-funded programs supporting research training, career development or research education. See the applicable NIH notices and award terms. |
Faculty, Senior personnel, undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers. | Program directors, faculty, undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and any staff participating in a NIFA award. |
