STAMP (STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency) 4S

Are you majoring in French, Modern Language Business, Latin American Studies or Spanish? Are you minoring in French, German or Spanish? Then you are required to take STAMP 4S to complete your major and/or minor requirements. STAMP 4S is a web-based, computer-adaptive evaluation of language proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Your STAMP 4S results will allow you to inform future employers, graduate programs, scholarship providers and internship programs exactly how well you are able to communicate in your chosen language.

STAMP is computer-delivered and is administered on the Moscow campus at the U of I Testing Center (Mary E. Forney Hall, Room 301) for a $70 fee. While there is no time limit, most students complete STAMP 4S in two and a half hours. You can take STAMP 4S by appointment between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedule STAMP 4S.
